Glad You Are Here
Opening Reception
Saturday, November 29th, 5–7 PM
The Jupiter Island Arts Council is delighted to open the 2025–2026 season with GLAD YOU ARE HERE, a solo exhibition by textile artist Jeila Gueramian.
Brooklyn based artist, Jeila Gueramian (b. 1971) works primarily with repurposed and upcycled textiles, transforming familiar materials into multisensory installations that merge sculpture, craft, and environmental imagination. Her vibrant, intricately layered assemblages invite viewers into immersive worlds where playfulness and introspection meet.
Her family-friendly immersive installations have been featured in exhibitions at the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, the Columbus Museum of Art, and the Children’s Museum of the Arts in New York City. In 2026, she will present a solo exhibition at the Fuller Craft Museum.
Opening November 29, 2025, GLAD YOU ARE HERE offers a joyful and dynamic exploration of textile artistry, community engagement, and the power of immersive experience. We look forward to welcoming you into this richly textured world.
GLAD YOU ARE HERE will be on view through January 10th, 2026.
Bailey Art Gallery is open Tuesday - Sunday, 10am - 4pm
The exhibition is curated and co-presented by Bowie and Jeff Barnett-Zunino of the Wassaic Project.
